Skid mounted Gas module description
The main function of a natural gas pressure regulating station is to maintain a stable outlet pressure despite fluctuations in incoming pressure and downstream flow. It typically consists of components like entrance and exit valves, inlet filters, safety Cut-off Valve , monitoring regulator, and a working regulator (or working control valve). The choice and configuration of these critical elements, particularly the safetyCut-off Valve, monitoring regulator, and working regulator, significantly determine the quality and reliability of the system.
For LNG (liquefied natural gas) stations, the selection of pressure regulation units usually involves setting up two lines, with self-contained regulators equipped with pilot control and overpressure Cut-off mechanisms being typical choices.
Metering is carried out using turbine flowmeters. The odorant, usually thiohydrocarbons like tetrahydrothiophene, is added using a diaphragm pump driven by flow signals. The odorant is injected into the gas pipeline accordingly.
